JK Labour Card Scholarship 2024: The J&K Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (JKBOCW) has Announced the Scholarship program aims to support economically week Students, particularly those whose Father is employed in the unorganized sector, in pursuing educational opportunities. This scholarship offers various Benefits based on the level of education pursued, ranging from Rs. 1000 for lower classes to Rs. 25,000 for professional courses. Eligibility criteria include parents’ occupation in specific sectors and income thresholds, with applicants required to have passed their last qualifying examination on the first attempt.

The J&K Labour Registration portal seeks to empower labourers in the state of Jammu and Kashmir by providing access to government schemes and benefits. Through jkbocw portal, labourers can register to avail themselves of various benefits such as fair compensation, gratuity, and health insurance, Financial Support to continue Education. The scheme aims to improve working conditions, enhance living standards of individuals living in J&K, and foster self-dependency among registered labourers, thereby contributing to their overall welfare and socio-economic development. To register, students must provide essential documents including Aadhar Card, residence and income certificates, and passport size photograph, among others, emphasizing the government’s commitment to supporting the labor force in the region.

JK Labour Card Scholarship 2024 Overview

Students must be a resident of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

The annual income of Head of Family from construction work should not exceed Rs. 1.2 lakh.

The Head of Family must be a registered construction worker with the J&K Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (JKBOCW).

Students must have scored at least 60% marks in the previous academic year.

The Student must be pursuing course in an institution recognized by the JKBOCW.
